At the beginning of this year I set out a goal to stretch myself with my illustrations, and coming up next month, I’ll be having my very first illustration exhibition at Waterloo Teahouse. I’m super nervous, kind of excited all at once. I would say that illustrating doesn’t come to naturally me- in the way that if I don’t have a client/deadline on my ass, I kind of just never produce anything. Where as when designing, it flows a lot easier for me. Did that make any sense?
I am currently prepping for my show that will be up at Waterloo Teahouse , 5 Waterloo Gardens, Cardiff, from July 28- Sept 1, 2014.
The subject of my collection is called 'Snippet of Cardiff', and it will reflect my last year and a half in Cardiff, Wales. I aim to capture; the funny colloquialisms, British slangs, sceneries, the oh-so delicious foods, and life lessons learnt in this beautiful county I now call, home.
Do drop in if you’re in Cardiff on Fri, Aug 1 for the gallery opening! I would love to see/meet you in person, and your support would mean endless amounts to me! My work is up for the whole month of August so make sure to drop by if you can’t make it for the opening. I’ll be sure update you all closer to date.
Here’s to getting out of our own comfort zones, and hopefully to a successful gallery! Shitting my pants.
